CASE ANNOTATIONS

1. Stenographic notes of testimony given at former trial held admissible. Wilmoth v. Wheaton, 81 Kan. 29, 31, 105 P. 39.

2. Section does not exclude other methods of showing witnesses' testimony. The State v. Gentry, 86 Kan. 534, 536, 121 P. 352; Funk v. Insurance Co., 87 Kan. 568, 569, 125 P. 35.

3. Transcript only admissible in actions involving original parties. Madden v. Stegman, 88 Kan. 29, 32, 127 P. 524.

4. Witness precluded from testifying; transcript of former testimony admissible. New v. Smith, 94 Kan. 6, 12, 145 P. 880.

5. Testimony on former trial is competent evidence. The State v. King, 102 Kan. 155, 158, 169 P. 557.

6. Transcript admissible where witness has died. State v. Emory, 116 Kan. 381, 385, 226 P. 754.
